Found in Colombia and Esmeraldas province of Ecuador in cloud forests at elevations of 750 to 800 meters as a miniature sized, deciduous leafed, warm growing, caespitose epiphyte with slender, erect, ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, narrowly elliptical-linear, acute leaf with a narrowly cuneate base that blooms at any time of the year on rect to arching, arising through a spathe, in a fascile of successively single flowered, .48" [1.2 cm] long inflorescence with half or less as long as the pedicel floral bract.
