More information

Anthurium clarinervium x Anthurium Delta Force

Anthurium clarinervium x Anthurium Delta Force

A hybrid of Anth. clarinervium × Anthurium Delta Force, combining a beloved velvety-leaved species from the cloud forests of Central America with a vigorous ornamental hybrid. It produces compact, cordate leaves with boldly impressed silver venation over a dark, velvety surface, carried on short, sturdy petioles.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can bleach the velvety lamina and fade the silver venation.
  • Temperature: 60–75°F (16–24°C); an intermediate-warm grower that performs best with stable temperatures and no cold drafts.
  • Humidity: 70–90%; sustained high humidity is essential to maintain the velvety texture and support healthy leaf development.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly when the top layer of substrate begins to dry; avoid waterlogged conditions and never let the roots dry out completely.
  • Growth Habit: Compact and upright, with rounded cordate leaves densely patterned with silver veins; this cross merges the iconic velvety texture and venation of A. clarinervium with the robust vigor of Delta Force, yielding a highly ornamental and adaptable collector’s aroid.

Additional Notes

Arrival & Establishment Recommendation: Upon arrival, plant promptly in a well-draining aroid mix (bark, perlite, and sphagnum) and water thoroughly to rehydrate the roots; allow the plant to acclimate in a humid, shaded spot for the first two weeks before introducing to its permanent position.
