The people at Ecuagenera are very nice and their plant selection is good, but this review is about the class. The owner spent time talking about the history of the place and all that they do. Then the presentation was about how to identify an orchid (taxonomy), the best medium & fertilizer (which they sell) for growing several types of orchids, and a demonstration that was upsizing an orchid to a slightly larger pot. All of this occurring while the circulation fans were cycling on and off. Then there was a tour of their greenhouses and lunch of sandwiches. Was it a pleasant experience? Yes. But was it worth $70. Absolutely not. In my opinion a fair price would have been $40 with a credit of $20 towards a purchase for attendees who show up.
Received the wrong plant, reached out and was quickly shipped another of the wrong plant. Reached out to explain that maybe they are mislabeled and received a reply quickly. I am satisfied with the value of the two combined plants but I was ordering a red spot tricolor and neither of these are that plant. I already had pink perfection.
Plant arrived a decent size and in very good condition.
Although I paid for 2nd day air, it took over a week to receive it.
It was shipped ground not air.
