Anthurium crystallinum x Anthurium Sparkling River

Anthurium crystallinum x Anthurium Sparkling River

A hybrid between Anth. crystallinum and Anth. Sparkling River, combining the iconic silver venation of crystallinum with the refined form of Sparkling River. Young plants display bright medium-green bilobed leaves; as the plant matures, the surface deepens to a rich dark velvety green and the primary venation brightens to a prominent silver-white — a transformation that reveals the full collector appeal of this cross.

  • Light: Bright indirect light; avoid direct sun. Thrives near an east- or north-facing window, or under grow lights.
  • Temperature: Intermediate-warm growing — 65°F–82°F (18°C–28°C). Protect from temperatures below 60°F (15°C).
  • Humidity: 70–90%. Use a humidifier or high-humidity enclosure for best results. Avoid dry air from heating or AC vents.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly when the top inch of the substrate feels dry. Use a well-draining, chunky aroid mix. Never let roots sit in standing water.
  • Growth Habit: Upright; produces large cordiform-bilobed leaves with well-separated upper lobes and a pronounced apex. Benefits from a moss pole or totem as it matures.

Additional Notes:

The velvety texture and silver venation characteristic of crystallinum become increasingly prominent with each new mature leaf. The open bilobed form and clean leaf structure are consistent across growth stages. Minor variation between individuals is expected.
