Anthurium crystallinum x Anthurium Sparkling River (seedling)

Anthurium crystallinum x Anthurium Sparkling River (seedling)

A seedling hybrid between Anth. crystallinum and Anth. Sparkling River, two cultivars celebrated for their silvery venation. At seedling stage the large cordate leaves already show impressive size and a clean medium green surface — the characteristic silver-white venation pattern of the crystallinum lineage will intensify and become more defined with each new leaf as the plant matures.

  • Light: Bright indirect light; avoid direct sun. Thrives near an east- or north-facing window, or under grow lights.
  • Temperature: Intermediate-warm growing — 65°F–82°F (18°C–28°C). Protect from temperatures below 60°F (15°C).
  • Humidity: 70–90%. Use a humidifier or high-humidity enclosure for best results. Avoid dry air from heating or AC vents.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly when the top inch of the substrate feels dry. Use a well-draining, chunky aroid mix. Never let roots sit in standing water.
  • Growth Habit: Upright; produces large cordate leaves that already exceed the pot size at seedling stage. Benefits from a moss pole or totem as it matures.
  • Maintenance: As a seedling, this plant benefits from stable humidity and temperatures. Avoid sudden environmental changes and repot only when roots are well established.

Additional Notes:

Both parent lines are known for prominent silver-white venation that develops fully at maturity — making this cross a promising collector plant with strong visual impact as it grows. Leaf size is notably large for a seedling. Minor variation between individuals is expected.
