Found in Morona-Santiago province of Ecuador at elevations around 1000 to 1200 meters as a small sized, cool growing, shortly repent to caespitose epiphyte with stout, erect ramicauls enveloped by a tubular sheath below the middle and 1 to 2 shorter ones at the base and carryring a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, obtuse, cuneate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the fall on an erect, arising and mostly enveloped by a reclining spathe .2 to .24" [5 to 6 mm] long, successsively single, few flowered inflorescence with a thin, tubular, shorter than the pedicel floral bract.
