Philodendron verrucosum 2 is a stunning species within the Philodendron genus, admired for its lush, velvety leaves that exhibit a rich, deep green hue with prominent, lighter-colored veins. Its most notable feature is the warty (verrucose) texture on its petioles, giving it a unique and tactile appeal. This tropical plant thrives in humid, warm conditions, favoring indirect, bright light, and well-draining soil that remains moist but not waterlogged. Regular watering, ensuring the soil is allowed to dry out slightly between sessions, is key to its care. Philodendron verrucosum is a climber and often requires support for optimal growth. Ideal for indoor plant enthusiasts, it adds a dramatic and exotic touch to any space, and its air-purifying qualities make it a functional as well as an aesthetically pleasing addition to home or office environments. Its care demands are manageable, catering to a wide range of gardening skills from beginners to the more experienced.

Just a bad time :(

I received my plant, and on the 6th day of owning it (conveniently right outside of the replacement window) it decided to wilt and the stems blackened in between nodes. Almost as if it had rot when I got it. Until I saw the black, I had thought it was because I transplanted it to an aroid mix too soon. Sadly, can't get a replacement so now I'm just out 50 bucks. I know there's a risk in shipping and it's not Ecuagenera's fault but I'm definitely a little sad about it :(.

Lovely!

Plant arrived a day early and it looked beautiful. I’m very happy with the leaves and the healthy roots. It is currently acclimating to new light and humidity with no leaf loss. Philodendron tend to not ship well and they can show signs of it later but they made sure it would stay hydrated during transit. I’m glad I bought this plant. It’s definitely beautiful and worth getting. It’s one that was on my wishlist. Now, I can enjoy it in person!

Wish I had a second chance….

It came healthy and not leggy . I decided to remove the spag moss from the root ball during transplanting. I shocked it and bottom leaves went limp . Now it has one leaf at the top . Should of just left the root ball alone . They don’t like change (tip) .
