Syngonium xanthophilum

Syngonium xanthophilum

A rare and elegant aroid native to tropical rainforests, prized for its elongated, arrow-shaped leaves in vibrant fresh green with a smooth, glossy surface. Its upright, multi-stemmed growth habit gives it a lush, full appearance that suits both tabletop and floor displays.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light; tolerates moderate light but grows best near a bright window without direct sun exposure.
  • Temperature: Warm growing; thrives at 65–85°F (18–29°C). Avoid cold drafts and temperatures below 60°F (15°C).
  • Humidity: Prefers high humidity, 60% or above. Benefits from a humidifier or regular misting in dry environments.
  • Watering: Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Use well-draining soil and avoid waterlogging to prevent root rot.

Additional Notes:

Leaves are sagittate (arrow-shaped) with prominent veining and a glossy bright green finish. As the plant matures, it may develop a vining habit and benefit from a moss pole or support for optimal growth.
