Anguloa Safia is a stunning primary hybrid between Anguloa virginalis and Anguloa uniflora. This hybrid is known for its beautiful, waxy, and fragrant flowers, combining the best traits of its cool-growing, high-altitude parents.

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Filtered sunlight is ideal, as direct exposure can damage the leaves.
  • Temperature: This hybrid thrives in cool to cold growing conditions. Daytime temperatures should be between 18-24°C (65-75°F), with a significant drop at night to 10-15°C (50-59°F).
  • Humidity: High humidity, between 70-80%, is crucial, especially during the active growing season.
  • Watering: Water heavily during the growing season (spring and summer), then reduce watering significantly when the plant is dormant.

  • Floral Characteristics: This orchid produces a single, large, waxy, tulip-shaped flower on an erect spike. The flowers are usually a beautiful creamy yellow, inheriting shades from both parents. They give off a sweet, pleasant fragrance.
