Calathea roseopicta, often referred to as the Rose-Painted Calathea, is a stunning and popular species among the Calathea genus, celebrated for its exquisite foliage and vibrant appearance. Native to the tropical regions of South America, particularly Brazil, this plant is highly regarded for its lush, colorful leaves. Calathea roseopicta stands out for its large, oval-shaped leaves that feature striking patterns and hues. The foliage showcases a blend of deep green shades accented by vibrant pink to red veining and marbling, creating a visual masterpiece reminiscent of brushstrokes or abstract art. These captivating leaves fold up at night, revealing their contrasting undersides, which are often a rich burgundy or purple. Calathea roseopicta is cherished not only for its visual appeal but also for its preference for indirect light and moderate humidity, making it a favored choice among indoor plant enthusiasts. Its ability to add a touch of tropical elegance to homes and offices while requiring minimal maintenance has made it a beloved addition to indoor plant collections.

Two of the four plants I ordered were in terrible shape. Was shipped in the middle of a heat wave so many that contributed. Thank you Ecuagenera for resolving my issues.

Growing well!

Had for a few months now and very steady, attractive plant. Different plant than picturata although they look similar-ish. Very pleased!
