This is a small, monopodial epiphyte native to Southeast Asia. Found at moderate elevations, it is valued for its compact, fan-shaped form and its ability to produce a burst of intensely colored, fiery red-orange flowers.
This orchid is famous for its erect, densely packed spikes of flowers, typically blooming in late spring/summer. The brilliant red-orange to scarlet color makes for a stunning, long-lasting display and is a highly desirable trait used in breeding colorful Vanda hybrids.
