Phragmipedium Sedenii

Phragmipedium Sedenii

This exceptional slipper orchid hybrid is a cross between Phragmipedium schlimii and Phragmipedium longifolium, combining distinctive characteristics that make it a prized specimen for discerning orchid collectors.

  • Light: Prefers moderate, indirect light. Avoid direct sun, especially during midday hours, as this can easily scorch the leaves.
  • Temperature: Thrives in intermediate temperatures. Ideal daytime temperatures should range between 18-24°C (65-75°F), with a slight drop at night to 13-18°C (55-65°F).
  • Humidity: Requires high humidity, ideally between 60-80%. Excellent air circulation is still essential to prevent fungal issues, especially in humid conditions.
  • Watering: This hybrid demands consistent moisture. Proper care involves using a well-draining growing medium. The potting medium should never be allowed to dry out completely.

Additional Notes

  • Floral Characteristics: The flowers of Phragmipedium Sedenii are celebrated for their elegant form and refined beauty, combining the compact growth of Phrag. schlimii with the robust characteristics of Phrag. longifolium, creating blooms with exceptional grace and distinctive coloration.
