Philodendron asplundii cf

Philodendron asplundii cf

This is a clumping, non-climbing Aroid species, its leaves are notably large, paddle-shaped, and deeply ribbed, creating a unique, fan-like appearance. As the plant matures, the leaves become rigid and form an attractive, architectural rosette.

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Higher light levels result in more compact and sturdy growth. Avoid direct, harsh sun which can burn the foliage.
  • Temperature: Thrives in a warm environment, ideally in the range of 60-85°F (16-29°C). It is sensitive to cold and should be protected from temperatures below 60°F (16°C).
  • Humidity: High humidity, around 60% or higher, is appreciated for promoting maximum leaf size. Using a humidifier or placing the plant near other plants is beneficial.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly when the top 2 inches (5 cm) of soil are dry to the touch. This species requires a well-draining mix and prefers consistent moisture during its active growth period.
