This medium-sized orchid species, commonly known as the "Fragrant Aerides," is widespread across Southeast Asia, from the Himalayas to the Philippines. It is a monopodial epiphyte that grows in hot to warm, humid environments, often found near streams or on trees in semi-deciduous forests. 

• Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. It can handle more sun than some orchids, but it's important to protect it from direct midday sun to prevent leaf scorching.
• Temperature: Thrives in hot to warm temperatures. Ideal daytime temperatures are between 24-30°C (75-86°F), with a night drop to 18-22°C (64-72°F).
• Humidity: High humidity is crucial, ideally between 65-80%. Good air circulation is essential to prevent fungal issues and maintain healthy growth.
• Watering: Requires frequent and abundant watering during the active growing season (spring and summer). As the seasons cool, reduce watering, allowing the medium to dry slightly between waterings. This mimics its natural habitat's wet and dry seasons.

Additional Notes

Floral Characteristics: Aerides odorata produces long, arching or pendulous inflorescences densely packed with waxy, white to creamy-white flowers. The flowers are typically marked with fuchsia or purple spots on the lip and sepals. The most famous characteristic is its incredibly sweet, citrus-like fragrance. The blooms are known to be long-lasting.
