Alocasia infernalis 'Kapit'
Alocasia Infernalis 'Kapit' Culture
The Alocasia infernalis 'Kapit' is a remarkable tropical houseplant featuring extraordinary silvery-gray foliage with unique mottled patterns and distinctive dark veining that creates a stunning camouflage-like appearance.
Light: Bright, indirect light is essential for adequate growth. An hour or two of winter sunlight is highly beneficial, but avoid direct summer sun which can scorch the delicate leaves.
Temperature: Warm temperatures are preferred, with a minimum night temperature of 65°F (18°C) and a maximum day temperature of 85°F (29°C).
Humidity: High humidity levels are crucial, ideally between 60% and 80%. Using humidifiers or misting regularly can help maintain these levels.
Watering: Water thoroughly but keep an eye out for overly dry soil. Allow the potting mix to dry slightly between waterings. Consistent moisture is essential, but avoid waterlogging. A well-draining potting mix is key.
Additional Notes
Foliage Characteristics: Alocasia infernalis 'Kapit' seedling features heart-shaped leaves with silvery-gray tones and unique mottled patterns. Its dark veins contrast strikingly, making it a rare and visually captivating plant for collectors.
What a beautiful plant, I'm very happy with the healthy green color on the leafs. The size on the leafs are very nice and big.
Every plant that I have purchased from Ecuagenera have been incredible, no regrates at all!!
I ordered a pallidiflorum and left work to open the box within an hour after it arrived at my home and immediately took these photos. While your website indicates that the plant will have 2-3 leaves, this is not representative of the quality of plant you advertised and certainly not something you would advertise on Palmstreet. I was advised to send the plant back for a replacement. That was an additional $17 for a plant that should have never left their greenhouse! Very disappointed.
