Anthurium carlablackiae x Anthurium cerrocampanense

A rare primary hybrid between Anth. carlablackiae and Anth. cerrocampanense, two prized Ecuadorian species from section Cardiolonchium. New leaves emerge in rich copper-bronze tones before maturing to a deep blue-green with a subtle metallic sheen — a dramatic color shift that makes each growth flush a visual event.

• Light: Bright indirect light; avoid direct sun. Thrives near an east- or north-facing window, or under grow lights.
• Temperature: Intermediate-warm growing — 65°F–82°F (18°C–28°C). Protect from temperatures below 60°F (15°C).
• Humidity: 70–90%. Use a humidifier or high-humidity enclosure for best results. Avoid dry air from heating or AC vents.
• Watering: Water thoroughly when the top inch of the substrate feels dry. Use a well-draining, chunky aroid mix. Never let roots sit in standing water.
• Growth Habit: Semi-upright; benefits from a moss pole or totem as it matures to support larger, heart-shaped leaves.

Additional Notes:

Foliage is large and cordate with a slightly velvety surface. The striking contrast between the bronze new growth and the dark blue-green mature leaves is a hallmark of this cross. Sold as a young plant. As a primary hybrid, minor variation in leaf shape and coloration between individuals is expected.
