Anthurium cerrocampanense x Anthurium fogetii

Anthurium cerrocampanense x Anthurium fogetii

This rare collector hybrid unites the velvety grandeur of Anth. cerrocampanense with the refined elegance of Anth. fogetii. New leaves emerge in striking bronze-silver tones before maturing into large, heart-shaped blades of deep green with a soft velvety texture and prominent pale venation — a hallmark of two of Ecuador’s most sought-after Anthurium species.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sun, which can damage the delicate velvety surface. A north- or east-facing window with filtered light is ideal.
  • Temperature: Intermediate to warm-growing — prefers 62–82°F (17–28°C). Protect from temperatures below 55°F (13°C) and cold drafts.
  • Humidity: High humidity of 65–85% is essential to preserve the velvety leaf texture. A humidifier is strongly recommended.
  • Watering: Water when the top inch of the substrate feels dry. Use well-draining, airy mix to prevent root rot. Avoid waterlogging at all times.

Additional Notes:

Foliage is large and cordiform with a distinctive velvety surface and contrasting pale venation. New growth emerges in warm bronze-silver hues, adding a dynamic color display as leaves mature. Reddish petioles complement the overall aesthetic. Fertilize monthly during the growing season with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength.
