Anthurium forgetii white stripes x Anthurium carlablackiae

Anthurium forgetii white stripes x Anthurium carlablackiae

A hybrid between Anth. forgetii white stripes and Anth. carlablackiae, combining the bold white primary venation of forgetii with the deep blue-grey velvety blade of carlablackiae. The result is a high-contrast, collector-grade foliage plant: bright cream-white veins radiate cleanly from the center against a near-black blue-grey velvety surface — a combination that is both rare and visually striking.

  • Light: Bright indirect light; avoid direct sun. Thrives near an east- or north-facing window, or under grow lights.
  • Temperature: Intermediate-warm growing — 65°F–82°F (18°C–28°C). Protect from temperatures below 60°F (15°C).
  • Humidity: 70–90%. Use a humidifier or high-humidity enclosure for best results. Avoid dry air from heating or AC vents.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly when the top inch of the substrate feels dry. Use a well-draining, chunky aroid mix. Never let roots sit in standing water.
  • Growth Habit: Upright and compact; produces rounded cordiform leaves with tightly closed basal lobes. Benefits from a moss pole or totem as it matures.

Additional Notes:

The heavily velvety surface intensifies the depth of the blue-grey tone and the contrast with the white venation. The venation pattern is consistent across all mature leaves. The 'white stripes' designation refers to the prominent white primary venation of the forgetii parent. Minor variation between individuals is expected.
