Anthurium forgetii white stripes x Anthurium carlablackiae (seedling)

Anthurium forgetii white stripes x Anthurium carlablackiae (seedling)

A seedling hybrid between Anth. forgetii white stripes and Anth. carlablackiae — two of the most coveted species in the collector world. The result is a plant with a deep blue-grey metallic surface and bold white primary venation radiating from the center in a dramatic star pattern, combining the striking white stripes of forgetii with the dark, velvety depth of carlablackiae.

  • Light: Bright indirect light; avoid direct sun. Thrives near an east- or north-facing window, or under grow lights.
  • Temperature: Intermediate-warm growing — 65°F–82°F (18°C–28°C). Protect from temperatures below 60°F (15°C).
  • Humidity: 70–90%. Use a humidifier or high-humidity enclosure for best results. Avoid dry air from heating or AC vents.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly when the top inch of the substrate feels dry. Use a well-draining, chunky aroid mix. Never let roots sit in standing water.
  • Growth Habit: Upright; produces large cordate-elongated leaves with a pronounced apex. Benefits from a moss pole or totem as it matures.
  • Maintenance: As a seedling, this plant benefits from stable humidity and temperatures. Avoid sudden environmental changes and repot only when roots are well established.

Additional Notes:

The velvety surface has a uniform silver-blue sheen that intensifies the contrast with the thick white venation. Color and pattern are consistent across all leaves from seedling stage. Minor variation between individuals is expected.
