More information

Anthurium Hollow Ghost x Anth. sagittatum 'Ecuagenera'

Anthurium Hollow Ghost x Anth. sagittatum 'Ecuagenera'

A hybrid between Anth. Hollow Ghost and Anth. sagittatum 'Ecuagenera', defined by a striking arrowhead leaf form inherited from sagittatum. The hastate leaves feature long, strongly divergent basal lobes that extend well beyond the pot, creating a wide, low, and architectural silhouette that stands apart from typical cordiform aroids.

  • Light: Bright indirect light; avoid direct sun. Thrives near an east- or north-facing window, or under grow lights.
  • Temperature: Intermediate-warm growing — 65°F–82°F (18°C–28°C). Protect from temperatures below 60°F (15°C).
  • Humidity: 70–90%. Use a humidifier or high-humidity enclosure for best results. Avoid dry air from heating or AC vents.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly when the top inch of the substrate feels dry. Use a well-draining, chunky aroid mix. Never let roots sit in standing water.
  • Growth Habit: Low and spreading; leaves extend horizontally on short petioles, creating a wide, open canopy. Benefits from adequate horizontal space rather than vertical support.

Additional Notes:

The semi-matte, lightly bullate surface has a subtle grey-green tone with well-defined primary and secondary venation in relief — a character inherited from the Hollow Ghost lineage. The bronze petiole insertion point adds a subtle ornamental accent. The 'Ecuagenera' designation indicates this is the Ecuagenera-selected clone of Anth. sagittatum.
