It produces large, cordate leaves with deeply impressed venation, a lightly bullate texture, and reddish petioles; new leaves emerge with warm coppery tones that gradually deepen to a rich, dark matte surface at maturity.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can bleach or scorch the developing lamina.
• Temperature: 60–75°F (16–24°C); an intermediate-warm grower that thrives with stable temperatures and no cold drafts.
