Anthurium Nouvelle Lune

Anthurium Nouvelle Lune

A hybrid of Anthurium nigrolaminum 'Gigi' × Anthurium dressleri, two highly sought-after velvety aroid species from tropical America. It produces large, cordate leaves with open basal lobes, prominent venation, and deep reddish-purple petioles, with new growth emerging in warm bronze tones before maturing to a rich, deep surface.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with up to 70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the large leaf surface.
  • Temperature: 59–77°F (15–25°C); an intermediate grower that appreciates stable temperatures and consistent air circulation.
  • Humidity: 70–90%; high humidity is essential to support full leaf expansion and maintain the characteristic leaf texture of both parents.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly when the top of the substrate begins to dry; keep slightly moist but never waterlogged, and do not allow roots to dry out completely.

Additional Notes

Hybrid Advantage: This primary hybrid combines the velvety leaf quality and bold architecture of two collector-grade species, producing a vigorous plant with exceptional ornamental appeal and improved adaptability for intermediate growing conditions.

Arrival & Establishment Recommendation: Plant promptly upon arrival in a well-draining aroid mix and water thoroughly to help roots rehydrate and begin acclimation after transit.
