More information

Anthurium papillilaminum x Anthurium pedatum

Anthurium papillilaminum x Anthurium pedatum

A hybrid of Anth. papillilaminum × Anth. pedatum, two distinctive aroid species from tropical America. It produces leaves with well-defined basal lobes inherited from papillilaminum and elongated, narrowing apical lobes reminiscent of pedatum, resulting in a striking intermediate form with bold venation and a firm, leathery texture.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with up to 70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the leaf surface.
  • Temperature: 65–82°F (18–28°C); a warm tropical grower that thrives with stable temperatures and good air circulation.
  • Humidity: 65–85%; high humidity supports full leaf development and maintains the leathery texture characteristic of both parents.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly when the top of the substrate begins to dry; keep slightly moist but never waterlogged, and do not allow roots to dry out completely.

Additional Notes

Hybrid Advantage: This primary hybrid combines the bold leaf architecture of two highly ornamental species, producing a vigorous plant with a unique silhouette that appeals to serious aroid collectors.

Arrival & Establishment Recommendation: Plant promptly upon arrival in a well-draining aroid mix and water thoroughly to help roots rehydrate and begin acclimation after transit.
