Anthurium papillilaminum x Anthurium sagittatum

Anthurium papillilaminum x Anthurium sagittatum

This hybrid brings together Anth. papillilaminum and Anth. sagittatum, offering an elegant, architectural specimen for tropical plant collections. Its spreading silhouette makes it a striking focal point in a sheltered growing space.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light or filtered shade. Place near an east-facing window or behind a sheer curtain, protected from harsh direct sun.
  • Temperature: Intermediate to warm-growing; 65–85°F (18–29°C). Avoid cold drafts and abrupt temperature changes.
  • Humidity: Preferably 60–80%, with gentle air circulation.
  • Watering: Keep the mix lightly moist, allowing the upper layer to begin drying between waterings. Use an airy, chunky aroid mix and let excess water drain completely.
  • Growth Habit: Upright, short-stemmed growth with outward-spreading foliage rather than trailing. A moss pole is not essential for young plants; provide support or a root-contact surface if the stem elongates with maturity.

Additional Notes:

Elongated, arrow-shaped leaves display deep green tones, softly textured surfaces, and subtle lighter veins, complemented by reddish petioles. Emerging foliage may show bronze tones before maturing. Allow space for new leaves to expand without rubbing against nearby plants.
