Anthurium regale (seedling)

Anth. regale is a stunning species known for its regal appearance and distinctive venation patterns. This species exhibits exceptional growth potential and is highly prized among collectors for its dramatic foliage development.

  • Light: Provide bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight which can scorch the delicate foliage and fade the distinctive venation.
  • Temperature: Maintain temperatures between 18-26°C (65-80°F). Protect from cold drafts and temperature fluctuations.
  • Humidity: Requires high humidity levels of 60-80%. Use a humidifier, pebble tray, or group with other tropical plants to maintain adequate moisture levels.
  • Watering: Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water when the top inch of soil feels slightly dry. Ensure excellent drainage to prevent root rot.
  • Maintenance: As a baby plant, repot according to growth until it reaches medium size. Provide adequate water, light, and fertilizer, but use less than for adult plants to avoid damaging development.

Additional Notes:

Foliage Characteristics: Features large, heart-shaped leaves with prominent white to light green venation that creates striking contrast against the dark green surface. Even as a seedling, the characteristic vein patterns are clearly visible and will become more pronounced as the plant matures.
