Cattleya Juan Pablo Martinez

A striking cross between Cattleya tenebrosa and Cattleya C.G. Roebling, this hybrid displays pink-lavender flowers with gently waved petals and a richly contrasting deep magenta lip. Its open floral silhouette gives each bloom an elegant presence.

  • Light: Bright, filtered light with gentle morning sun. Provide light shade during the hottest part of the day to prevent leaf burn.
  • Temperature: Intermediate to warm-growing; days of 70–85°F (21–29°C) and nights of 58–65°F (14–18°C).
  • Humidity: Maintain 50–70% humidity with steady air circulation.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly, then allow the medium to dry nearly completely before watering again. Water more frequently during active growth and reduce frequency when growth slows, without allowing prolonged dehydration.

Additional Notes:

Firm, elongated green leaves complement the upright, sympodial growth. Use a coarse, freely draining orchid mix and leave room for new growths at the front of the plant. Repot when fresh roots begin to emerge, keeping the rhizome at the surface of the medium.
