Cattleya trianae is a magnificent species, prized for its large, fragrant blooms. The concolor form is especially valued because its color is uniform across all parts of the flower, unlike the typical complex patterns of the species. It is a robust, medium to large-sized epiphyte.
The concolor form features flowers where the sepals, petals, and lip are all a single, uniform color, lacking the usual throat or lip markings. These large, well-formed flowers can reach up to 8 inches (20 cm) wide. They are known to be fragrant and remarkably long-lasting.
