Dendrobium goldschmidtianum (miyakei) x sib ('T3' x 'Hsinying')

Dendrobium goldschmidtianum is a compact epiphytic orchid known for its charming miniature stature and abundant flowering potential. It's a cross between 'T3' and 'Hsinying' combines the best traits of both parent plants, producing a robust specimen with excellent blooming characteristics and adaptability to various growing conditions.

  • Light: Provide bright, indirect light. East or west-facing windows work well, or supplement with grow lights if natural light is insufficient. Avoid direct sunlight which can scorch the leaves.
  • Temperature: Maintain warm to intermediate temperatures between 18-28°C (65-82°F) during the day, with a slight nighttime drop of 3-5°C (5-9°F) to encourage blooming.
  • Humidity: Requires high humidity levels of 60-80%. Use humidity trays, room humidifiers, or group with other plants to maintain adequate moisture in the air.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly when the growing medium approaches dryness. During active growth, maintain consistent moisture but never allow the plant to sit in standing water. Reduce watering frequency during winter rest period.

Additional Notes:

Features compact pseudobulbs with narrow, elongated leaves that are typically bright green and leathery in texture. The plant maintains a neat, upright growth habit making it ideal for windowsill culture or small growing spaces.
