Brassocattleya Ivan Portilla 'Pink Lip' (L. purpurata purple lip x pink lip x B. cucullata) is a captivating hybrid orchid that combines the beauty of Laelia and Brassavola genetics. 

  • Light: Provide bright, indirect light with some morning sun. East or west-facing windows with filtered light work well. Avoid harsh midday sunlight.
  • Temperature: Maintain temperatures between 18-24°C (65-75°F) during the day with a slight nighttime drop of 3-5°C (5-10°F) to encourage blooming.
  • Humidity: Requires moderate to high humidity levels of 50-70%. Use humidity trays, room humidifiers, or group with other orchids to maintain adequate moisture.
  • Watering: Keep consistently moist but never waterlogged. Water when the growing medium begins to dry slightly. Use lukewarm, filtered water and ensure excellent drainage.

Additional Notes:

This orchid has strong pseudobulbs and thick, leathery leaves. Its blend of Laelia purpurata and Brassavola cucullata genes produces unique flowers with a striking pink lip, making it a standout hybrid.
