Marcgravia Morona

Marcgravia Morona

A rare and sought-after member of the Marcgraviaceae family, featuring long, vining stems with elegant pinnate-like arrangements of elliptical leaves in deep glossy green, with new growth emerging in warm bronze-red tones. A captivating climber that brings lush, tropical texture to any vivarium or humid growing space.

  • Light: Low to medium indirect light; thrives in the dappled conditions of its cloud forest habitat. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the delicate foliage.
  • Temperature: Cool to intermediate-growing; prefers 55–75°F (13–24°C). Keep away from heat sources and protect from temperatures above 80°F (27°C).
  • Humidity: High humidity of 70–90% is ideal. Best suited for terrariums, vivariums, or consistently humid growing environments.
  • Watering: Keep the substrate evenly moist but never waterlogged. Mist regularly to maintain humidity around the foliage.
  • Growth Habit: A vigorous vining climber that benefits from a moss pole, cork bark, or trellis for support. Stems can grow long and trailing, making it equally suited for hanging displays or vertical setups.

Additional Notes:

Best displayed in a closed or semi-closed terrarium or vivarium with high ambient humidity. A highly sought-after species among rare plant collectors. Plants are shipped well-established in a coco fiber substrate.
