More information

Monstera deliciosa mint variegated (seedling)

Monstera deliciosa mint variegated (seedling)

This rare, highly sought-after plant is a cultivar of the classic Swiss Cheese Plant. It features deep green leaves adorned with striking, soft mint-green and creamy-white variegation. As a seedling, its famous leaf splits (fenestrations) will develop as it matures, making it a spectacular collector's item.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light is essential. Place it near a window (east or west-facing is ideal) but shield it from direct sun, which can easily scorch the variegated areas.
  • Temperature: Keep it warm and stable: 68-86°F (20-30°C). Protect it from cold drafts, as it is very sensitive to temperatures below 59°F (15°C).
  • Humidity: Prefers high humidity (60-80%) but adapts to average home levels. Use a humidifier or a pebble tray to prevent leaf edges from drying out.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly only when the top 1-2 inches of soil feel dry. Allow the soil to dry out between waterings to prevent root rot.

Additional Notes

As a climbing plant, it needs support to develop large, mature, fenestrated leaves. Provide a moss pole or trellis early on for your Monstera to climb and attach its aerial roots to.
