Paphiopedilum bellatulum

This exquisite slipper orchid produces distinctive blooms with pristine white petals and sepals adorned with deep burgundy to purple spots, creating a mesmerizing leopard-like pattern. The prominent pouch-shaped lip displays similar spotting, making each flower a unique masterpiece.

  • Light: Provide bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight which can burn the leaves. East or north-facing windows are ideal.
  • Temperature: Maintain intermediate to warm conditions, with daytime temperatures of 21-27°C (70-80°F) and nighttime temperatures of 16-21°C (60-70°F).
  • Humidity: Keep humidity levels between 50-70%. Use humidity trays or room humidifiers to maintain adequate moisture.
  • Watering: Water when the potting medium approaches dryness but never allow it to completely dry out. Use lukewarm, filtered or rainwater.

Additional Notes:

Features attractive mottled foliage with dark green patterns. Flowers are long-lasting, persisting for 6-8 weeks. Typically blooms once per year in late winter to spring. Repot every 2-3 years using well-draining orchid bark mix.
