The Philodendron 'Majestic,' a stunning hybrid of Phil. sodiroi and Phil. verrucosum, is prized for its dramatic, heart-shaped leaves that combine the silvery patterning of its sodiroi parent with the rich, velvety texture inherited from verrucosum. This collector-favorite aroid delivers an impressive presence in any indoor setting, with foliage that deepens in color and complexity as the plant matures.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Place near an east- or north-facing window to protect the delicate foliage from direct sun exposure.
  • Temperature: Intermediate-growing; thrives between 65–80°F (18–27°C). Protect from cold drafts and avoid temperatures below 55°F (13°C).
  • Humidity: Requires high humidity of 65–80% for optimal leaf development and to maintain the velvety texture. A humidifier or pebble tray is recommended in drier environments.
  • Watering: Keep the substrate consistently moist but well-draining. Allow the top inch of soil to dry slightly between waterings to prevent root rot.

Additional Notes:

Mature leaves display a striking bicolor pattern — deep green with prominent silvery-gray variegation on the upper surface and rich burgundy-red undersides. The velvety leaf texture and contrasting coloration make this hybrid one of the most visually captivating Philodendrons available for indoor cultivation.
