Philodendron melanoneuron 'aff' refers to a Philodendron plant that is closely related to the species Philodendron melanoneuron. While the 'aff' designation indicates that it may not be an exact botanical match, it suggests a strong resemblance to the species. Philodendron melanoneuron itself is known for its striking and distinctive appearance. Native to the rainforests of Ecuador, particularly in regions like Zamora-Chinchipe, this plant thrives in warm and humid environments. It is recognized for its large, elongated leaves with a deep green color and prominent veins, creating an elegant and tropical ambiance. The 'aff' variation likely shares these visual characteristics, making it a desirable choice for indoor gardens and botanical collections. Philodendrons, including the 'aff' varieties, are appreciated for their ease of care and the touch of natural beauty they bring to interior spaces, making them popular among plant enthusiasts and collectors.

Beautiful but half the size of their photos, so small

I have bought a philodendron from Ecuagenera before and it was much like the one in their example photos in look and size. This one however, I received in a 2-inch nursery pot (and I thought they would have said it was a seedling if it were that small, as they have some plants where the pot size is specified as a 2-inch pot. It is maybe 8 inches tall as well. The leaves are beautiful and the texture is great, but just be aware of the size. It's under half the size of the plant in their photo with only 5 leaves.

Beautiful

I so love the corrugated leaves. I love that quilted look. Very beautiful plant. Ecuagenera never disappoints.
