Philodendron paloraense cf x Philodendron Jose Buono

Philodendron paloraense cf x Philodendron Jose Buono

This is a unique hybrid combining the highly textured, often silvery-blue, elongated foliage of P. paloraense with the potential for bold, creamy white variegation from the classic P. Jose Buono. This climbing aroid is prized by collectors for its large, structurally complex, and often variegated leaves.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light is essential. Good light promotes strong growth and enhances the variegation and leaf texture. Avoid direct, harsh sun, which can scorch the lighter, variegated areas.
  • Temperature: A warm-growing tropical hybrid. It thrives in consistent daytime temperatures of 68-86°F (20-30°C). Protect it from cold drafts.
  • Humidity: High humidity (60% or more) is preferred to encourage large leaves and prevent dry, crispy edges.
  • Watering: Allow the top 1 to 2 inches of the soil to dry out slightly between thorough waterings. It is sensitive to overwatering; use a very chunky, well-draining aroid mix.

Additional Notes

Features large, elongated leaves that may inherit the serrated or trilobed structure of P. paloraense. It is a vigorous climber and requires a moss pole or support to encourage maturity and size.
