This is a robust and striking species of Philodendron. As a terrestrial creeper, its stem crawls horizontally along the ground, producing massive, heart-shaped leaves.

Light: Bright, Indirect. Provide bright, filtered light. Bright light encourages larger leaf development, but direct sun can burn the foliage.

Temperature: Warm. Tolerates a wide warm range, ideally 59-95°F (15-35°C). Protect it from cold drafts, and do not let temperatures drop below 50°F (10°C).

Humidity: Moderate to High (60% ideal). While adaptable to average indoor humidity, this plant will produce healthier leaves and growth with a boost from a humidifier.

Watering: Almost Dry. Allow the top 50% of the potting mix to dry out completely before watering thoroughly. It is highly susceptible to root rot, so ensure excellent drainage and avoid overwatering.
