Philodendron verrucosum 'Beauty'

Philodendron verrucosum 'Beauty'

A luminous and large-leafed selection of Phil. verrucosum, 'Beauty' stands out with its broad, glossy cordate leaves in medium green densely patterned with a vivid yellow-green reticular venation — one of the most richly veined verrucosum forms available, with a subtle rosy-orange flush at the midrib base.

  • Light: Bright indirect light; brings out the full luminosity of the dense yellow-green venation. Avoid direct sun, which can bleach the foliage.
  • Temperature: Intermediate to cool-growing; prefers 60–75°F (15–24°C). Protect from heat above 85°F (29°C) and temperatures below 55°F (13°C).
  • Humidity: High humidity essential — maintain 70–90%. A humidifier or enclosed growing space is strongly recommended.
  • Watering: Keep the substrate evenly moist but never waterlogged. Allow the top inch to dry slightly between waterings; excellent drainage is critical.
  • Growth Habit: Vining and climbing; benefits from a moss pole or support structure to encourage larger leaf development as it matures.

Additional Notes:

Distinguished from other verrucosum selections by its broader, glossy (non-velvety) leaf surface and exceptionally dense reticular venation in vivid yellow-green. Leaves are large with slightly undulate margins. Fertilize lightly during the growing season with a balanced, diluted fertilizer.
