Philodendron warscewiczii 'Golden'

Philodendron warscewiczii 'Golden'

A luminous and rare cultivar of Philodendron warscewiczii, 'Golden' captivates with its broadly cordate leaves in a uniform, vivid chartreuse-gold color — a naturally occurring golden form rather than variegation. The bright, lime-yellow foliage radiates warmth and light, making it one of the most visually striking color-form Philodendrons available and an instant focal point in any tropical collection.

  • Light: Bright indirect light is essential to maintain the vivid golden-chartreuse coloration. Insufficient light will cause the leaves to revert toward green; avoid direct sun, which can bleach or scorch the foliage.
  • Temperature: Warm-growing; thrives between 65–85°F (18–29°C). Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 55°F (13°C).
  • Humidity: Prefers high humidity (65–85%). A humidifier or enclosed growing environment promotes optimal leaf size and color intensity.
  • Watering: Keep the substrate evenly moist but well-drained. Allow the top inch to dry slightly between waterings; avoid waterlogging.
  • Growth Habit: Vining and climbing; benefits from a moss pole or support structure to encourage larger leaf development as it matures.

Additional Notes:

The golden coloration is uniform across the entire leaf — this is a natural color form, not variegation. Leaf color is most intense under bright indirect light. Fertilize lightly during the growing season with a balanced, diluted fertilizer to support healthy, vibrant growth.
