Philodendron White Princess 'Galaxy'

Philodendron White Princess 'Galaxy'

A breathtaking White Princess cultivar with large, heart-shaped leaves boldly sectored in pure white — some nearly fully white — against a deep glossy green background. The dramatic variegation and white-streaked stems make 'Galaxy' one of the most visually striking Philodendrons in any collection.

  • Light: Bright indirect light is essential to sustain the bold white variegation. Avoid direct sun, which scorches the white sections, and low light, which may cause reversion to green.
  • Temperature: Warm-growing; thrives between 65–85°F (18–29°C). Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 55°F (13°C).
  • Humidity: Prefers high humidity (65–85%). A humidifier or enclosed growing environment promotes optimal leaf size and variegation expression.
  • Watering: Keep the substrate evenly moist but well-drained. Allow the top inch to dry slightly between waterings; avoid waterlogging. Highly variegated leaves are more sensitive to overwatering.
  • Growth Habit: Vining and climbing; benefits from a moss pole or support structure to encourage larger, more dramatically variegated leaves as it matures.

Additional Notes:

Each leaf is unique in its variegation pattern — some nearly fully white, others boldly sectored. The higher the white coverage, the more sensitive the plant is to direct sun and overwatering. Fertilize lightly during the growing season with a balanced, diluted fertilizer.
