Phragmipedium Ingapirca

Ingapirca is a richly colored Phragmipedium hybrid from the cross of Phrag. Incan Treasure x Phrag. QF Maria, producing large, deep crimson-red flowers with slightly arching lateral petals, a full rose-pink pouch, and a cream staminode boldly spotted in orange-red — a striking combination of warm tones that commands attention.

  • Light: Bright indirect light; an east- or shaded south-facing window is ideal. Avoid direct midday sun.
  • Temperature: Intermediate to cool-growing — 60–75°F (15–24°C) days, with cooler nights around 55–60°F (13–15°C).
  • Humidity: 60–80%. Maintain good air circulation to prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Keep the media evenly moist at all times; Phragmipedium should never fully dry out. Use low-mineral or filtered water.

Additional Notes:

Sequential bloomer capable of producing multiple flowers per spike. Best grown in fine bark or sphagnum moss with excellent drainage. Fertilize with a balanced, diluted orchid fertilizer every 2 weeks during active growth.
