Rhyncholaeliocattleya Jose Roman

Rhyncholaeliocattleya Jose Roman

A fine intergeneric Cattleya alliance hybrid bred from Rlc. Lady Sally crossed with C. Felicia, combining the large, full-formed flowers and rich coloration of its Lady Sally parent with the refined shape and elegance of Felicia. This cross produces showy, well-presented blooms with excellent substance, ideal for collectors seeking classic Cattleya alliance beauty in a reliable, floriferous plant.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light; a south- or east-facing window with filtered sun is ideal. Strong light promotes robust growth and reliable blooming.
  • Temperature: Intermediate to warm growing. 65–82°F (18–28°C); avoid prolonged exposure above 90°F (32°C).
  • Humidity: 50–70%; ensure good air circulation alongside humidity to prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly, then allow the medium to dry almost completely before watering again. Reduce frequency in winter to encourage blooming.

Additional Notes:

Flowers are large and showy with good substance, displaying the classic Cattleya alliance form. Grow in coarse bark or mounted on cork for optimal root aeration. Fertilize weekly at quarter strength or monthly at full strength during active growth. Cooler winter nights promote spike initiation.
