Scindapsus pictus 'Tricolor'

A collector's gem among Scindapsus cultivars, the 'Tricolor' stands out with its velvety, dark green leaves adorned with three distinct tones of silver variegation — from soft gray splashes to bright, almost metallic patches. A trailing aroid of exceptional ornamental value, it adds a sophisticated, textured look to any indoor space.

  • Light: Bright indirect light; tolerates moderate light but variegation is most vivid in brighter conditions. Avoid direct sun.
  • Temperature: Warm-growing; thrives between 65–85°F (18–29°C). Keep away from cold drafts and temperatures below 55°F (13°C).
  • Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity (50–70%). Benefits from a humidifier or pebble tray, especially indoors.
  • Watering: Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry between waterings. Avoid overwatering — well-draining mix is essential.
  • Growth Habit: Trailing and vining; looks stunning in hanging baskets or cascading from shelves. Can also be trained to climb a moss pole for larger leaf development.

Additional Notes:

Leaves are thick, matte, and velvety with a satin-like sheen. The tricolor patterning — green, silver-gray, and bright silver — makes each leaf uniquely decorative. A relatively easy-care aroid, well-suited for both beginners and collectors seeking something visually distinctive.
