This captivating epiphytic orchid produces striking flowers with rich brown spotted petals and sepals contrasted by vibrant magenta-pink labelos, creating a dramatic and exotic display that enchants orchid enthusiasts.

  • Light: Provide bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight which can damage leaves and flowers. East-facing windows or filtered greenhouse conditions are ideal.
  • Temperature: Maintain intermediate to warm conditions with daytime temperatures of 21-27°C (70-80°F) and nighttime temperatures of 16-21°C (60-70°F).
  • Humidity: Keep humidity levels between 60-80%. Use humidity trays, misting, or room humidifiers to maintain adequate moisture levels.
  • Watering: Allow growing medium to partially dry between waterings. Water thoroughly when needed, typically every 5-7 days depending on conditions. Use lukewarm, filtered water.

Additional Notes:

Flowers are typically fragrant and long-lasting, appearing on upright spikes. Native to Central and South America, requires excellent air circulation and well-draining epiphytic mix for optimal growth.
