Anthurium clarinervium x Silver tiger (S)

Anthurium clarinervium x Silver tiger (S)

A stunning velvet-leaved hybrid bred from Anth. clarinervium crossed with Anth. Silver Tiger, combining the bold white venation and heart-shaped form of clarinervium with the silvery, tiger-patterned leaf surface of its Silver Tiger parent. The result is a visually striking collector's aroid with exceptional foliage contrast and a refined, luminous appearance.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light; avoid direct sun to protect the velvety leaf surface. Thrives near a filtered window or under grow lights.
  • Temperature: Intermediate to warm growing. 65–80°F (18–27°C); protect from temperatures below 55°F (13°C).
  • Humidity: 70–90%; high humidity is essential. A humidifier is strongly recommended.
  • Watering: Water when the top inch of substrate dries out; ensure excellent drainage. Never allow to sit in standing water.

Additional Notes:

Foliage is heart-shaped and velvety, displaying bold white venation from its clarinervium lineage enhanced by the silver tiger patterning of its second parent. Grow in a chunky aroid mix (bark, perlite, sphagnum moss). Fertilize monthly with a balanced liquid fertilizer during the growing season.

Maintenance: As a baby plant, repot according to growth until it reaches medium size. Provide adequate water, light, and fertilizer, but use less than for adult plants to avoid damaging development.
