Baby was name Laelia so I sent an orchid for her birth and to grow with the baby, The mother so appreciated the gift.

In Alta Verapaz, Guateamala where I grew up, these orchids grew in the leaf litter of pine forests. I never saw any growing epiphytically. They were always growing in the ground - and not in the hardwood forest.
