Also known as Purple Velvet Cardboard Anthurium, is a captivating variation of the Anthurium gymnopus species. It shares the same unique heart-shaped leaves with a velvety texture, but in a stunning shade of deep purple. This plant is cherished for its unusual flower structure – a finger-like spadix covered in tiny purple-hued flowers, surrounded by a modified leaf called a spathe. Similar to its green counterpart, it requires bright, indirect light and well-draining soil. Keeping the humidity levels adequate and watering when the top inch of soil dries out will promote its health. Anthurium gymnopus purple is a striking addition to any indoor plant collection.
