It is a species of orchid native to parts of Central and South America, including countries like Colombia, Venezuela, and Guyana. Unlike many other orchids, the Vanilla orchid is primarily known for its fruit, which produces vanilla beans. Vanilla pompona is one of the orchid species used in the production of natural vanilla flavoring. The beans are harvested, dried, and processed to extract the vanilla essence. The plant itself also has attractive flowers, making it a unique addition to gardens or collections. Successfully cultivating Vanilla pompona typically involves understanding its specific care requirements, including suitable temperature, humidity, and support for climbing vines.
The quality of this moss is very good and equally comparable with masses from other South American countries. The cost is reasonable and the promptness of the shipping very good. My second time buying from this business, and will definitely continue to do so.
I’ve order a lot of orchids and plants from this company. Most have been decent, some beautiful, and some terrible. This plant is super small and has no blooms on it. Not even a spike starting so will be a while before I can see its beautify.
I love the cattleya from Ecuagenera US in Apopka, FL. I can spend all day wondering around just their orchid greenhouse, checking out each and every one. I've never been able to leave without something in my hands.
