Successful cultivation of Anthurium corrugatum 'Rude' requires attention to the following aspects:
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
Temperature: Thrives in warm, humid temperatures typical of tropical climates. Ideal temperatures range between 20°C and 30°C (68°F and 86°F).
Humidity: Requires high ambient humidity. The use of humidifiers, frequent misting, or cultivation in terrariums may be necessary.
Watering: Keep the substrate consistently moist, but not waterlogged. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot.
Substrate: Use a very well-draining, airy substrate, rich in organic material.
Additional Notes:
'Rude' is a specially selected clone of Anthurium corrugatum, distinguished by its exceptional bullate texture with intensely pronounced cellular patterns and robust growth habit.
This distinctive epiphytic clone displays superior corrugated leaf texture that sets it apart from the standard corrugatum group, with deeply raised bubble-like formations creating an extraordinary sculptural quality.
This plant was dying when it was received. At first, I took it as being stressed from the shipping and hoped it would bounce back. Unfortunately, all the leaves dropped within 3 days with no signs of any new growth. I wish I had taken a pic when it first arrived. Here is is now. I still have hope lol
This plant arrived in beautiful condition. It was, and continues to be very full and bushy. I keep it consistently moist and water when the top one inch of soil feels dry. I have it in the kitchen window above the sink, so it gets a little humidity. Of the four plants I received, three are doing great, especially this one
