Anthurium pinkleyi

Anthurium pinkleyi

Anthurium pinkleyi is a distinctive climbing species known for its elegant, elongated leaves and graceful growth habit. This remarkable aroid displays beautiful foliage that transitions from juvenile to mature forms as it develops.

  • Light: Provide bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight which can scorch the delicate leaves. East or north-facing windows work well, or place near a south-facing window with sheer curtains.
  • Temperature: Maintain temperatures between 18-26°C (65-80°F). Protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.
  • Humidity: Requires high humidity levels of 60-80%. Use a humidifier, pebble tray, or group with other tropical plants to increase ambient moisture.
  • Watering: Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water when the top inch of soil feels slightly dry. Ensure excellent drainage to prevent root rot.

Additional Notes:

Foliage Characteristics: Anthurium pinkleyi starts with oval leaves that evolve into narrow, lance-shaped foliage as it matures. Its glossy green leaves reflect light beautifully and retain vibrant color year-round, initially showing a subtle bronze tint.
