Philodendron serpens is a distinctive and intriguing species within the Philodendron genus, notable for its unique features and adaptability as a houseplant. This species is particularly admired for its velvety, heart-shaped leaves and the conspicuous, hairy petioles which give it a distinct texture and appearance. The name 'serpens,' meaning 'creeping' or 'crawling' in Latin, might hint at its growth habit, which could be either climbing or spreading, typical of many philodendrons. Native to tropical environments, Philodendron serpens thrives in warm, humid conditions with indirect light, making it well-suited for indoor cultivation. The plant's care involves well-draining soil, consistent watering to maintain soil moisture without waterlogging, and occasional fertilization to promote healthy growth. With its striking foliage and unusual hairy petioles, Philodendron serpens is a compelling addition to any indoor plant collection, offering a touch of the exotic and a unique visual and tactile experience.
Healthy seedling potted up in sphagnum moss and perlite. Not a seedling that was just stuck in a 4" pot. The roots are well established.

Very Happy!
I am very happy with my purchase. Both plants were a good value, healthy, larger than I expected, packaged with exceptional care and arrived ahead of schedule. I highly recommend this company and would give a greater than 5 stars!!

Seedling, as stated. However a little too much damage to it for me to be OK with. Not sure how it happened as there was no damage to the box itself.

Cute little seedling, love it! Will be buying more!
Spider mites have taken a little trip. Currently she's in the shower. Fighting the urge to chop leaves off an Repot as it just travelled.
Hopefully they just die off.
Gabriel sold me a baby. And now I repotted it twice..thought these small plants would take for ever to grow up..boy was I wrong..going back for more...thanks again
I've been tyring to get someone at your firm to contact me regarding this purchase. The plant arrived with 3 stems inwhich 2 were broken. One stems rotted off and dropped off plant. All 3 leaves were yellow and dying. Why was the plant pot smashed?I'm glad I received this survey. I hope someone will email the steps you'll take to send me another plant or a refund.
